Beyonce Knowles and her husband Jay-Z are allegedly expecting their first child together. Insiders claim Knowles has stopped the Def Jam detox to gain pregnancy weight.

“She has gained a lot of pregnancy weight. When she gains weight, she normally does the Def Jam detox, but not now,” says a friend of the couple.

A rep for the singer has said, “I don’t know if she’s pregnant. Let me perform an ultrasound and get back to you.”

‘They have been pretty low-key as a married couple so far but Cannes is the place they will really have a blow-out.’

The couple got married in a secret ceremony in New York on 4 April.

Victoria Beckham, 34, and Gwyneth Paltrow, 35, are said to have made the guest list for the party, to be held on 23 May.

R+B singer KELLY ROWLAND has laughed off reports her close pal BEYONCE KNOWLES is pregnant, insisting her former DESTINY'S CHILD bandmate would be "mad" if she heard the latest rumours.
Reports Knowles is expecting surfaced online last month (Apr08), just days after her secret New York wedding to hip-hop superstar Jay-Z.
The newlyweds have so far refused to confirm they have become husband and wife, let alone address the pregnancy rumours, but Rowland - who was a guest at their nuptials - insists Knowles is not about to enter motherhood.
However, Rowland has also continued to dodge questions about the widely reported wedding, saying: "Everybody keeps talking about this wedding that supposedly happened. That's a question that you'd have to ask her!"
Of the baby rumours, the Work singer laughs, "You know what's funny about this, all three of us (Destiny's Child members) have been pregnant at one time. We were on stage and supposedly we looked pregnant!
"I think that it happens, people say that all the time and there are so many rumours about a wedding, so many rumours about so much stuff that it (Beyonce being pregnant) is probably next in line.
"I mean, even before (there were) the wedding rumours (there) were baby rumours; before the wedding rumours there were wedding rumours, you know what I mean? So, no, there's no truth to that. She would be mad, she'd be like, 'I'm what?'"

A photo of an allegedly 15-year-old and pregnant Beyonce Knowles has surfaced on the Web. Urban gossip blog, Bossip.com has published a photo of a young girl in a black tee and ripped jeans, with an heavily pregnant belly. The girl's appearance is strikingly similar to that of the pop star. The photo was sent to the blog by an anonymous reader.

Singer/actress Beyonce is not publicly known to have any children, making the photo (if confirmed authentic) a shocking development in the life story of the super star.

Meanwhile, Beyonce's husband of just over a month, rapper Jay-Z is dealing with his own controversial secret love child. A woman from Trinidad claims that the rap star, born Shawn Carter, fathered a son with her after the two met on a video shoot in 2001.

Some gossip sources also question whether Beyonce is currently pregnant and whether her pregnancy prompted the couple's small and hushed wedding ceremony on April 4.

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z followed their hush hush wedding with a secret honeymoon at a luxury resort in the Arizona desert, claim reports.

Having escaped the media circus surrounding their wedding at the start of last month, the secretive couple managed to getaway from work commitments a week after tying the knot to spend some time together as man and wife.

OK! magazine claims the pair escaped to the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain resort to relax and unwind.

A source at the resort, where a two-night stay costs $8,000 (£4,000), says: "Beyonce looked stunning, even thought she was wearing no make-up. They looked so in love and so happy."

The Big Pimpin’ hitmaker, real name Shawn Carter, performed at the Big Apple’s Madison Square Garden on last Friday as part of his Heart of the City tour with Mary J Blige. During one part of his show, Jay-Z takes to the DJ booth and cues the instrumentals of his classic tracks, including Money Ain’t A Thang and Hard Knock Life, before cutting them short and yelling, “F**k that!” He grinned as he gave the same treatment to ‘03 Bonnie & Clyde, a duet with the former Destiny’s Child beauty, and then Knowles’ Crazy In Love to which he shouted, “F**k that too... No disrespect.”

Immediately after his comment, Knowles strutted on stage and struck a pose, raising her eyebrow in response to his decision to pull her song.

The “Bootylicious” singer was spotted looking elegant on the Costume Institute’s “Superheroes: Fantasy and Fashion” Gala last night at NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

She wore a muted pink strapless evening gown complete with some emerald and diamond earrings and matching bracelet.

As for her new hubby Jay-Z, it looks like he had other interests to attend to.  But after seeing these pics of his wife, he’s sure to regret not being there!

A month after becoming Mrs. Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, superstar singer Beyonce Knowles is reportedly back in the studio, hard at work on her next album. Knowles, who's recently been kept busy on the movie set filming her role as Etta James in "Cadillac Records," has turned her attention back to music and is working on material with production duo Chris "Tricky Stewart and Kuk Harrell, reports People magazine.

"She's a professional," Tricky says. "She loves what she does and works her [butt] off. Right now she's basically doing three to four songs a day and that's unheard of."

Tricky, who worked with Rihanna and Jay-Z on "Umbrella" and Mariah Carey on "Touch My Body,” said Jay-Z has yet to visit the studio, but a collaboration between the two could materialize.

"It’s always a possibility," Tricky says. "They worked together before, so it may be just a matter of getting the right record."
