Nine "high-profile" passport files were accessed more than a hundred times, according to a new report from the State Department's Inspector General.Officials will not reveal the list of individuals whose passports were repeatedly browsed, but CBS News reports one of the most often-accessed files was that of superstar singer Beyoncé Knowles.

The authors of the report took a sample list of 150 celebrities and found 127 files were accessed a total of 4,148 times in a six-year period.

One high-profile individual's passport file was accessed 356 times by 77 different users. The report says it did not determine if those who accessed the passport files were authorized to do so.

This spring, passport files of presidential candidates Sens. Barack Obama, John McCain and Hillary Rodham Clinton were accessed by contractors for the State Department.In response, the State Department's Inspector General examined how often celebrity files were accessed.

Solange Knowles doesn't want her three-year-old son, Daniel, to go into the family business.

"I'd love for him to be talented in other things," Beyoncé's 22-year-old little sister says. "I hope that he wants to be a...computer engineer."

But these days, she's everywhere, because she has a new album to promote. Her sophomore effort, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, will be released August 26.

This is as fabulous as it gets for Knowles. "I don't have a life in Hollywood," Knowles told me the other day while running errands in L.A. "I don't do s--t. Just work. I come home and take my son to the movies. I don't go out. It's only like the BET Awards or something like that, that I actually do something."

Then there's her serious side. Just look at the video for the new album's first single, the Pharell Williams-written "I Decided." Depicted throughout are archival footage and photographs from key moments in American history, like the Civil Rights movement.

"6 O'Clock Blues," a collaboration with Amy Winehouse's Grammy-winning producer Mark Ronson, hits on Hurricane Katrina and poverty, among other issues.

"I wouldn't say that I'm political, but I'm definitely aware," Knowles said.

But in the very next breath, she cooed, "I do have Obama fever."

She met the presidential hopeful at a dinner not too long ago. "It was crazy because I had all these questions I wanted to ask him," Knowles recalled. "But once I got in the midst of his presence, I totally felt like I was meeting a rock star."

Unlike her obsessively private older sister, Knowles has no problem opening up about her personal life. She married football player Daniel Smith while she was pregnant with their son, but they divorced about three years later. However, she won't let that spoil her dreams of finding love again. "I got married at 17, so I won't judge from that one experience," she said with a laugh.

There was not a welly in sight as pop diva Beyoncé Knowles arrived at Glastonbury to watch husband Jay-Z performed last night.

The pop singer looked stunning as always in jeans, heels and a green rain mac... just in case.

When asked on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross if Beyoncé would be attending Glastonbury with her husband, the rapper claimed she was busy in American filming.

She stood at the side of the stage as rapper Jay-Z rocked the crowds in Somerset, despite many labelling the signing as controversial.

Jay-Z delivered a response to Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher, who criticised the rapper's appearance on the bill when he was first announced as one of the headliners earlier this summer.

Jay-Z says being poor motivated him to succeed. The rapper - who is married to former Destiny's Child singer Beyonce Knowles - revealed his rise to stardom stems from a desire to escape from his hometown of Brooklyn, New York.

He said: "Being broke is a great motivator. Home was like the cliche of rough. When I was nine I saw someone shot for the first time." Jay-Z, who is set to play at the Glastonbury music festival on Saturday, also revealed his taste in music, saying his favourite bands include British group Coldplay - whose new album 'Viva La Vida Or Death and All His Friends' recently topped the US album charts.

Jay-Z said: "My favourite music is heartfelt music, I don't believe in the separation of music. I listen to Coldplay, 50 Cent and Kanye West." Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been a close friend of the rapper for many years and attended his recent New York wedding along with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow. 

She’s no stranger to the international jet-setting lifestyle and, earlier today, Beyonce Knowles was spotted at London’s Heathrow Airport headed for Ireland.

The “Bootylicious” songstress was reportedly on her way to the city of Cork where her hubby, rapper Jay-Z, is giving a concert tonight.  And tomorrow, they’ll both be headed back to England for the Glastonbury Festival.

As she made her way through the terminal, the “Irreplaceable” singer looked cute and casual in a black “Texas” t-shirt layered on top of a longsleeve white shirt along with a pair of jeans and peep-toe heels.

Knowles has been going non-stop this week, as she took over hosting duties at her sister Solange’s 22nd birthday party the day before the 2008 BET Awards.

"There's only two types of music," says Jay-Z. "Good music and bad music."

The New York rapper (name pronounced "Jay-Zee") has been a controversial choice to headline the Glastonbury festival, which starts tomorrow. But he's not too bothered by the discord surrounding his appearance, the fact that the event is not sold out, or Noel ("however you pronounce his name") Gallagher's public protests that a hip hop artist is unsuitable for a "guitar-based" festival.

"Ridiculous. We have to respect each other's music and move forward. The world has to change. I'm going to rock that festival."

Emily Eavis, daughter of the event's founding farmer Michael Eavis, hurried to Jay-Z's defence, describing the rapper as "the greatest living hip hop artist". He's more relaxed about it, viewing British audiences as "a rowdy lot", and describes his imminent live show as an "art form", a live connection to his audience's emotions and energy. It is, he says, the creative "pay-off" to his studio recordings. There are rumours that he will be assisted by his partner Beyoncé Knowles, his sometime collaborator Chris Martin of Coldplay, or even Martin's wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

These ladies know how to celebrate! Beyoncé Knowles threw a dance party for Solange's 22nd birthday Monday night that brought out pals Ludacris, Ne-Yo, Mario and Destiny Child's Michelle Williams.

Guests danced to tracks like Prince's "Kiss" and Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved" spun by Lindsay Lohan pal DJ Samantha Ronson, as the birthday girl grabbed a microphone and called people to the floor. Lohan sat close to the deejay booth early on, but left before most guests arrived at the Hollywood Hills mansion at 11 p.m.

Hard at work at a Los Angeles studio, Beyonce Knowles was spotted filming a scene for her new movie “Obsessed” on Monday (June 23).

“Obsessed" tells the story of “a successful professional man with a beautiful wife who finds his idyllic life threatened by a temp in his office who reveals herself as a stalker.”

Co-starring alongside the 26-year-old “Irreplaceable” singer are Stand By Me stud Jerry O’Connell and sexy Heroes actress Ali Larter, among others.

Still in the early stages, the Steve Shill directed thriller/drama doesn’t find its way to theaters until its slated February 27, 2009 release date.

With her rap star mogul husband overseas, Beyonce Knowles was spotted taking advantage of her free time with a shopping spree in Los Angeles on Thursday (June 19).

The “Crazy In Love” singer, tied the knot with Jay-Z back in April, spent time browsing the shops’ selections before being led out to her car by a bodyguard using a shopping bag to cover the R&B hitmaker’s face from lined-up paparazzi.

In related news, it appears that Beyonce and Jay-Z’s fellow celebrity pals are tired of waiting for the two to consummate their marriage with a baby.

Rapper Snoop Dogg, who has 3 kids, tells that starting a family should be the goal for any wedded couple.

“I told them to go home and make babies,” he says. “They should, that’s the next step as far as marriage, having kids ... add on to the family, so hopefully that’s what they’ll do.”

Welsh soul singer and songwriter Duffy is reported to have hinted that she will follow in the footsteps of Shirley Bassey and sing the theme song for the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

According to showbizspy.com Duffy has joined a list of musicians, including Amy Winehouse, Beyonce Knowles and Leona Lewis, to be linked to the project.

Asked if she had already recorded a song for the movie, Duffy replied: "Well, a lady never exposes her secrets."

The film, starring Daniel Craig, is released in October.
