Beyonce Knowles moves her form to battle adolescence weight: Rocking neon green leg warmers, short shorts, and stilettos, Beyonce leads kids through a dance routine to her new remix, “Move Your Body” promoting healthy eating and exercise.

Let’s Move! is an initiative, launched by the First Lady, dedicated to eliminating childhood obesity within a generation. The White House Task Force on Childhood Obesity submitted a report to the President in May 2010. The task force found that:
* One in every three children ages 2-19 is overweight or obese.
* Obesity is estimated to cause 112,000 deaths per year in the United States.
* Nearly $150 billion per year is now being spent to treat obesity-related medical conditions.
* One third of all children born in the year 2000 are expected to develop diabetes during their lifetime.
* The current generation may even be on track to have a shorter lifespan than their parents.
* Childhood obesity creates potential implications for military readiness, as more than one quarter of all Americans ages 17-24 are unqualified for military service because they are too heavy.
In California, childhood obesity rates have skyrocketed, according to The California Endowement. "One-in-three California children ages 9-11 years old, are at risk of or are already overweight."The private, statewide health foundation attributes a combination of poor diet and lack of physical activity to have caused children to be at greater risk for the onset of major chronic diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer, when reaching adulthood.
