Beyoncé has announced that her new album will be called 4. The ‘Run The World (Girls)’ singer, who was recently confirmed as the recipient of the ‘Billboard Millennium Award 2011’, told Billboard that the title of her fourth studio album has a special significance for her. “We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me,” she explained. “It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date.” Speaking about the development of the record, Beyoncé said: “I recorded more than 60 songs; everything I ever wanted to try, I just did it.” The performer recently recorded vocals for a track to be included on Jay-Z and Kayne West’s upcoming joint album with Bruno Mars.
