When Beyonce dismissed her father Mathew from his role as her manager in March, there was huge speculation about her reasons for doing so. Both parties claimed there was no animosity in the split and that as the superstar turns 30 in September, it was simply time to be independent. But Mathew Knowles has filed legal papers that cast a whole new light upon proceedings, according to TMZ.

The 60-year-old claims that his daughter is under the impression that he stole money from her, a claim he vehemently denies. In the documents, which have been obtained by the website, Mathew claims that Live Nation Entertainment wanted the lion's share of control over Beyonce's 2011 world tour. According to the documents, he insists that Live Nation told Beyonce that Mathew 'had stolen money from Beyonce on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to.'He continues to point out that Live Nation convinced Beyonce to have her law firm conduct an audit, and the law firm concluded that Mathew had indeed stolen money her, which prompted his dismissal. Then, according to Mathew, the former Destiny's Child star hired a manager who had worked as a former executive at Live Nation and maintained a relationship with the company.
Mathew insists the theft accusations by Live Nation are false, and he wants the judge to give him the right to take depositions from various people at Live Nation, to determine how they came by their supposed evidence. Another apparent factor in the fracturing of the father-daughter bond, is the lovechild that Mathew conceived with actress Alexsandra Wright. It was confirmed, also in March, by a DNA test, that the baby boy Nixon, now one, was indeed Beyonce's half brother. His mother, former Scrubs actress Wright, had accused the salesman turned impresario of engaging in an 18-month affair, which led to the unravelling of Beyonce's parents 30 year marriage.
The superstar is with her mother Tina Knowles as the news breaks. Earlier today she stunned shoppers in the capital's Selfridges store by making a show-stopping appearance in a bright orange dress. Beyonce and Tina checked out several pairs of leather, studded high heels during their 30-minute shopping session, but left without buying anything.
