With a baby on the horizon, Jay-Z is getting "a little paranoid" about the family's future. The rap mogul's wife Beyonce Knowles is currently expecting their first child together and while he can't wait to be a dad, the '99 Problems' hitmaker admits he can't help but think about his own father, who walked out of their family home when he was just 11 years old.
He said: "It makes me a little paranoid because no matter what, I don't think any person, or any male, goes into a relationship thinking that they're going to leave or wouldn't be there. "I think the circumstances a lot of times dictates things, right?"
However, Jay-Z -- his real name is Shawn Carter -- insists he is different from his father and "highly principled" so thinks he will never act the same. He said: "I'm just a different kind of guy. I come from a real place where you had to be a highly principled person so, I'm pretty confident that I'll figure it out."
