Beyonce Knowles apparently struggled to hide her pregnancy before making it public at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" hitmaker opened up about it in an interview before the screening of her new concert DVD, "Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4".
Taking the stage at the Paris Theatre in New York on Sunday, November 20, the wife of music mogul Jay-Z admitted that she worried her baby secret would be exposed when performing for four nights to sold-out crowds at New York's Roseland Theater in August. "The whole time I definitely was thinking, 'Everyone knows, everyone can see,' " she shared.
The 30-year-old singer additionally talked about other difficulties she was dealing with as she performed at the gigs. "When you're pregnant, it's a little bit harder to breathe," she explained as quoted by The Associated Press, "so it was hard doing all the choreography and singing at the same time."
Beyonce wasn't hiding her baby bump when coming to the special screening event. In fact, the "Countdown" singer wore a form-fitting brown dress with plunging neckline and embellished gold detail that draws attention to her growing belly.
"Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4" itself is set to be made available for purchase in the United States on November 29. In addition to documenting Queen Bey's performance at the famed Roseland Ballroom, it also features some behind-the-scene moments and rare footage of the singer in her younger years.
