Reba McEntire put a country music spin on Beyoncé Knowles's R&B hit, “If I Were a Boy,” when she covered the song on a recent episode of Country Music Television’s (CMT’s) Unplugged. This is not the first time a song of Beyoncé’s was covered by another well-known artist. Singer Justin Timberlake covered Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” when he hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live and the song was recently covered by Liza Minelli for the upcoming movie, Sex and the City 2, so country music stars are not the only ones who are choosing to put their own flavor on one of Beyoncé’s smash hits.

In addition, according to an article on People.com, “In 2007, Sugarland famously performed ‘Irreplaceable’ on the American Music Awards – and Knowles even took the stage to sing along.”It seems that Knowles has no problem with other prominent artists, from any musical genre, performing her songs using their own signature sound and even, in certain instances, joining in to assist them.
